Mussoorie, 14 May: A class 12 student disappeared from a reputed school, here, which caused a stir among the school administration. They informed the family members of the girl. The relatives reached Mussoorie police station and filed a complaint against a 19 year old resident of Mussoorie. Mussoorie police took immediate action on the matter and registered a case under the relevant sections of the IPC against the boy. Meanwhile, complaint about the accused youth having gone missing was also filed by his parents at the Police station.
The schoolgirl and the boy were missing from Mussoorie since 11 May. The police examined CCTV footage at Mussoorie Library Chowk and discovered that both were seen at around 7.30 a.m. on the way of Dehradun. On the basis of this, a police team formed under the leadership of Mussoorie Police In-charge Bhawna Kainthola undertook a search and both were apprehended by the police from the Mussoorie Dehradun Road near JP Bend.
Kainthola said that police are investigating the entire matter. She said a case under IPC sections and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, had been registered against 19-year-old Shahzad, resident of Spring Road. He was presented in court, from where he was sent to prison.
The school management has maintained silence on the subject and distanced itself from the media. This has raised even more questions about the School. The big question is how the school girl got out of the school after making a pass out in the name of her parents. The police discovered photos of both with many love letters in their search at the school. This indicated that both were very close to each other. It is also a question how the letters were delivered inside the school.
