Rishikesh, 14 May: THDC India Ltd entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RITES Limited, a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, today, for “Consultancy Services for Detailed Engineering (DE) and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for the proposed Railway Siding of Khurja Super Thermal Power Project (3X660MW) in District Bulandshahr, (UP).
The MoU was signed at THDC India Limited, NCR office, Kaushambi, by UC Kannaujia, General Manager (NCR), THDC, and GL Goel, Group General Manager (RPO-North), RITES.
Sanjay Singhal, AGM (Coal/Railway Siding) and Brij Mohan Singh, Senior Engineer (Railway Siding) from THDCIL and Sushil Prasar, AGM, from RITES were also present on the occasion.
As the Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant will require coal as its main fuel source, so to get Coal from Amelia Coal Mine, Singrauly, MP, a dedicated Railway Siding is being developed at Khurja Project. THDCIL has signed the MoU with RITES for development of rail infrastructure in the plant area as well as connectivity with the main line of Indian Railway network. THDCIL is committed for the development of the Rail infrastructure before the commissioning of Khurja STPP.
