Rudrapur, 11 Jun: State Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi addressed a press conference at the BJP District Office here, today, describing the 11 years of the Modi Government as a historic journey of service, good governance, and welfare of the poor.

He stated that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has taken significant strides towards becoming a Developed and Self-Reliant Nation. “This is not just Modi’s government—it is the reflection of the dreams, hard work, and determination of 140 crore Indians,” he said. “This period has laid a strong foundation for India’s future.”

Minister Joshi emphasised that governance has now become a tool for service, the government has become participative, and good governance is evolving into a core part of Indian culture.

Speaking on agriculture, he highlighted major reforms, including a substantial increase in the agriculture budget, which has directly benefited farmers. He noted that all government schemes are now designed with a focus on the poor.

Referring to the shift in public perception, Joshi remarked, “Earlier, people used to say, ‘It can’t be done.’ Now they say, ‘It will be done, and it must be done’—because with Modi, everything is possible.”

He underlined that schemes now directly benefit citizens through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), eliminating middlemen. Highlighting key initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, Make in India, Ujjwala Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, PM Awas Yojana, and Jan Dhan Yojana, he noted India’s rising status as a global economic force, now moving toward becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy.

Minister Joshi also pointed out landmark decisions such as the abrogation of Article 370, the abolition of triple talaq, and reforms in the Waqf Act. “India’s cultural identity has been projected strongly on the global stage through a proactive foreign policy,” he added.

Commending Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, he said that Uttarakhand is witnessing a historic anti-corruption drive. Under the policy of zero tolerance, India’s strictest anti-cheating law has been implemented, which has led to over 23,000 youth receiving jobs purely based on merit.

He further reported that 57 cheating racketeers have been jailed, and 24 charged under the Gangster Act. “For the first time in the state’s history, two IAS officers, one PCS officer, and over a dozen other officials have been suspended, sending a clear message that no one is above the law,” he added. Over 200 corrupt officials have faced action, and the 1064 toll-free number has become a powerful tool for citizen-led anti-corruption efforts.

Present at the press conference were BJP District President Kamal Jindal, Rudrapur MLA Shiv Arora, Mayor Vikas Sharma, and General Secretary Amit Narang.
