Rewa, 18 Apr: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar — a premier institute for Yoga, Naturopathy, and Ayurveda-based research — and Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), to establish mutual academic collaboration and coordination, today.
On this occasion, Acharya Balkrishna, Chairman of Patanjali Yogpeeth, stated that the objective of this MoU is to promote academic, research, and developmental activities in the fields of Yoga, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, and related traditional Indian knowledge systems.
The Acharya further stated that under this MoU, courses related to Yoga, Naturopathy, and Ayurveda will be jointly developed and conducted by both institutions. Additionally, joint research projects and seminars will be organised. There will also be exchange of academic and technical experts between the institutions to facilitate knowledge sharing. The MoU also includes provisions for student training, internships, and field work.
Both institutions will also mutually utilise resources such as libraries, laboratories, and research facilities. Moreover, certificate, diploma, and degree programmes related to Yoga and Ayurveda will be jointly coordinated and conducted.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa, Prof Rajendra Kumar Kuraria stated that Patanjali Yogpeeth is a leading research institution based on Yoga, Naturopathy, and Ayurveda. He emphasised that the university looks forward to working jointly with Patanjali to carry out extensive research and knowledge sharing in these fields.
Registrar Dr Surendra Singh Parihar of Awadhesh Pratap Singh University was also present during the event.
