DEHRADUN, 2 Mar: Mukesh Goyal and Ashok Kumar Windlass have been elected as the Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively, of the CII Uttarakhand State Council for the year 2019-20, at the Annual Session of CII Uttarakhand State Council held in Dehradun.
Mukesh Goyal is an Engineering Graduate from NIT Kurukshetra and has undertaken a Leadership Programme at Wharton Business School, University of Philadelphia, USA. He has over three decades of experience in the Automobile Industry.
Goyal currently heads two plants of Hero MotoCorp Ltd, Haridwar, and Vadodara Plant. He has led the green field project at Haridwar to become the world’s largest two wheeler plant with annual turnover of approximately Rs 10,000 crores. It is the most integrated plant in Uttarakhand with more than 30 ancillaries located within 10 kms of the mother plant, generating direct employment for 25000 people and another 25000 indirect jobs.
Mukesh is an ardent nature lover and passionately pursues CSR projects in Uttarakhand. He is also Vice Chairman of QCFI –Quality Circle Haridwar Chapter. He has also been mentoring the Institute Management Committee, ITI Barkot (Uttarkashi), which Hero MotoCorp has taken under its PPP programme. Mukesh has been associated with CII for many years and has been the Vice Chairman of CII Uttarakhand last year.
Ashok Kumar Windlass is a well-known industrialist in the state of Uttarakhand. An engineer by qualification with a long standing history of successfully contributing to the growth of Windlass Group in diverse sectors like real estate, pharma, steel crafts, garments, etc. Currently, Ashok Windlass is steering the Rs 325 crore Windlass Biotech to greater heights. Windlass Biotech is one of the fastest growing companies in the region with a US FDA approved facility in Dehradun. Windlass holds many leadership positions in pharma related associations and bodies.
