Mussoorie Traders’ Welfare Association felicitates police for safe recovery of minor girl

Mussoorie, 29 May: The Mussoorie Police force was felicitated by the Mussoorie Traders’ Welfare Association for the safe recovery of a minor girl within 36 hours of her being reported as missing. The ceremony was organised in the auditorium of a local hotel.

The Association felicitated Mussoorie Kotwal Arvind Chaudhary, SI Omveer, Constable Sudhanshu Chaudhary, Arvind Giri, Pushpa Bora, Rashmi Rani by presenting shawls.

Kotwal Arvind Chaudhary said that a team was formed under his leadership to find the missing girl. He said that the girl had come under the influence of a young man on Instagram, due to which she went to Delhi from her home in Mussoorie. He said that the girl had also switched off her phone due to which her location could not be found. The police traced her location from her Instagram page. After two days of hard work, the police recovered the girl safely from Delhi.

Rajat Agarwal, President of Mussoorie Traders’ Welfare Association, said that Mussoorie Police is doing a good job under the leadership of Inspector Arvind Chaudhary. In the last two days, the cases of two minor girls came to light, out of which one had lost her way and reached Mussoorie and was seen in a distressed state at Tehri bus stand late at night by businessman Manoj Agarwal. He informed the police and within 12 hours the girl was handed over to her family in Doiwala by Mussoorie Police. On 26 May, a minor girl suddenly went missing from Mussoorie and her phone was also switched off. The Mussoorie Police team searched for the girl with the help of CCTV cameras installed around the incident spot. And on 28 May night, the missing girl from Delhi was recovered safely and handed over to her family. He said that the police are continuously working under various plans regarding traffic system, whose successful results are also being seen. In such a situation, the police should be honoured from time to time to boost their morale.
