Dehradun, 29 Dec: On the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar, the Tax Section of the Municipal Corporation plans to hold special camps for collection of House and Building Tax from the property owners of Dehradun city. These special camps will be held in January in various Municipal wards. To begin with, special camps will be held at 13 locations in the city according to Municipal Tax Superintendent Dharmesh Painyuli. He said that, in the first phase, responsibilities have been given for setting up camps at 13 places in the city for the convenience of tax payers.
Painyuli stated that the first camp will be held on 4 January, 2024. Camps will be organised on 4 January at Turner Road and Tilak Bazaar; on 5 January at DL Road and in Ambedkar Bhawan; on 6 January at Dhamawala and Kalumal Dharamshala (Raja Road); on 9 January at Kalika Mandir and Adhivati Ashram; on 10 January in Govindgarh at Rajiv Colony Chowk; on 11 January at Bhavani Girls’ Inter College in Vasant Vihar; on 12 January at Vasant Vihar Officers’ Club; on 15 January at Nehru Colony branch office in Chak Shah Nagar; MDDA Colony, Indirapuram on 16 January; at Suri Chowk in Race Course and MKP on 17January; on 18 January in Majra; on 19 January in Ballupur; and on 22 January in Sahastradhara Chironwali. The house or building tax can be deposited vide cash, cheques or POS machines.
Kumar said that these camps are being held for the convenience of tax payers, especially the senior citizens and this will help boost the tax collection of the Nagar Nigam. He added that soon camps will also be held in other areas as well.
