Bageshwar, 3 Jan: In a bid to promote the 38th National Games on a large scale, three promotional vehicles carrying the mascot, Mouli, reached Bageshwar today.
District Magistrate Ashish Bhutgai flagged off the promotional vehicles. These vehicles will travel across the three development blocks of the district until 5 January, covering major locations, city streets, and markets, encouraging people to engage with the National Games. Meanwhile, the National Games torch, “Tejaswini”, will reach Bageshwar on 6 January.
The District Magistrate flagged off the three promotional vehicles from the indoor stadium complex of the Sports Department, wishing success for the National Games event and urging more people to connect with the games. He mentioned that hosting the National Games would provide the young players of the state with valuable learning opportunities. On this occasion, the District Magistrate also administered the voter oath to new voters.
Present at the event were In-charge District Sports Officer Kiran Negi, District Youth Welfare Officer Arjun Rawat, and other officials.
