New committee of NAPSR elected at AGM



DEHRADUN, 7 Jul: The Annual General Meeting of the ‘National Association for Parents and Students Rights’ (NAPSR), which was also a National Executive meet, was held here on 6 July to which members of various associations were invited. Brig KG Behl, President, AICC & Sanyukta Nagrik Sangthan, was the Chief Guest while Arif Khan presided. The National President, Arif Khan, provided details of the activities carried out and what further actions they proposed to take, especially mentioning the librar y, uniforms and other articles including stationery being collected by donation and how useful these were proving. He said that NAPSR is a non- political social body that works for the cause of poor people and fights to get them proper justice. Members of ‘Sanyukta Nagrik Sangathan’, ‘Sikh Welfare Association’, ‘Nirbhay Welfare Society’, ‘Food Relief Association’, ‘Jagatbandhu Sewa Trust’, ‘Nasha Mukti Kendra’, banks and other local organisations were among those present. Prominent amongst those who spoke were Dr Mukul Sharma, GS Jassal, BS Bajaj, Sushil Tyagi, Madhu Marwah, Kavita Khan, Neelam, Pradeep Kukreti and newly elected members of the Executive. Those elected were Advocate Sushil Uniyal (National General Secretary), Dharmendra Thakur and Deep Chand Sharma (National Secretaries), Akash Bhatt (National Treasurer), Manmohan Sahni (National Jt Secretary), Sheela Rawat (Mahila Wing), Ashok Semwal (National Secy) and others. Aashish Tyagi and Navin Kumar Bhat were nominated district heads.
