Mussoorie, 26 Feb: A newborn girl was found near Kolukhet on the Mussoorie Dehradun Road today. The newborn girl was left on the roadside wrapped in a cloth near the Kolukhet checkpost. People who found her saw that she was alive and informed the Mussoorie police.
Police reached the spot and after taking the newborn into their care, provided her milk and water, after which she was immediately sent to Doon Hospital, where she is being treated. Police are investigating the matter.
Police said that someone had left the 3 or 4 day old newborn girl on the roadside. Police are scanning the CCTV cameras installed nearby, but no clue has yet been found. Inquiries are being made to trace her parents.
