DEHRADUN, 14 Dec: The OASIS hosted its annual Athletic Meet 2024 from December 11-14, for the entire school. The event was a celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and spirited competition, bringing together students, faculty, and parents in a day filled with excitement and camaraderie. The annual Athletic Meet commenced with Chief Guest, additional Director General Amit Sinha – IPS, Special Principal Secretary (Sports), Government of Uttarakhand. Chairman Rakesh Oberai unfurled the flag. The event showcased an impressive march past by the four spirited houses- Daivik, Mahit, Prasatti and Vinaya. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as athletes, adorned in their house colours, showcased discipline and unity on the track. Various track and field events kept the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the day. 
From exhilarating sprints to graceful relays, the participants demonstrated physical prowess and a deep commitment to sportsmanship and fair play. One of the highlights of the event was the heart-warming Parents’ Race, where parents displayed remarkable agility and camaraderie, adding a delightful touch to the day’s festivities. As the day advanced, the closing ceremony took place, culminating in the muchanticipated prize distribution. Trophies and medals were awarded to exceptional athletes who excelled in their respective events, acknowledging their dedication and outstanding performances. The School Director and Head of School, Sanjiv Bathla, expressed pride in the students’ achievements, emphasising the importance of sports in fostering character, teamwork, and discipline. The annual Athletic Meet showcased athletic prowess and served as a platform to instil values of teamwork and discipline among the students.
