Dehradun, 26 Dec: Om Color Creations, a complete pre-press unit based here is a pioneer in the industry. It has become the bigger, better and value added capacity producer of CTP plates.
It has the 4648 Cron machine and 4632 cron CTCP, along with the latest thermal machine of 4664 ThermoStar T-9 in the Dehradun Industrial Area. Its capacity has shot up to almost 2800 plates per day.
Om Color Creation is a pioneer in the field of CTP. It started with one PC as a design unit way back in 2002.
This start-up idea came to CEO Amit Garg 20 years ago. He left his corporate job in Bangalore and shifted to Doon. Since then, there has been no looking back.
He has gradually upgraded the systems from single pc to 2 Katana and one Scitex machine (film processing machine), operated from 3 different locations. With the changing demand of the industry, he was first to respond and put up the first CTP plant of Uttarakhand.
Amit Garg is a graduate from NIT Kurukshetra. Now, his wife has also joined him in the business. Dr Kamna Garg (PhD) and he work together to serve the printing industry. They had the customers’ faith and good trust but wanted better brand value. Now, they serve their friends as they believe business is all about relationships. Amit is a first generation entrepreneur and is very much concerned about Nature, also. His campaign to use eco friendly bags and say no to polythene was widely acknowledged by the media.
Amit has been awarded by the CM of Uttarakhand for his services during Corona as a Covid Warrior. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj also presented him the Uttarakhand Icon Award. He has also been active on the big screen and acted in the movie, PM Narendra Modi, with Vivek Oberoi, and ‘Jeet Ki Zidd’ webseries with Sushant Singh and Amit Sadh; also with Jubin Nautiyal in video, along with many other assignments on hand.
On why to pick thermal over CTCP, he says choosing an engine from Technova was a strategic choice as they have a wide network and their support with the plates is immense. Manoj Agarwal was very supportive and Technova is an Indian company with a wide variety of product and their customer orientation is great. It is the time for Thermal and Technova is the first choice. Packaging industry customers have started demanding Thermal Plates. They will be using Elite plates in place of baked pates as there will be no dot gain, which is the biggest flaw in baked plates.
