Dehradun, 25 Sep: In pursuance of the directives issued by District Magistrate (DM), Dehradun, Savin Bansal, senior officers from multiple departments, including the Tehsildar and Block Development Officer, have been deployed to camp in the disaster-affected regions of Bhitarli Kimadi and Kandariyana. The DM had instructed officials to establish on-site camps to address the pressing concerns of the local residents and ensure timely resolution of their grievances.
Responding to these instructions, departmental officers and support staff are presently stationed at Bhitarli Kandariyana, where damage assessment is currently underway.
According to the district administration, the distribution of compensation is being carried out on a war footing, with relief cheques handed over to individuals whose agricultural lands and properties have suffered damage due to the recent calamity.
In accordance with the DM’s orders, the Supply Department has initiated corrective measures at the camp site, where officers and staff are updating ration cards by including the names of family members who had previously been left out. Bansal has made it unequivocally clear that officers would remain deputed in the disaster affected areas until relief reaches every last individual impacted by the disaster.
