One more arrested in UKSSSC paper leak

DEHRADUN, 27 Aug: Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) investigating into the UKSSSC paper leak case continued its action and today morning it arrested Rajesh Chauhan, owner of RMS company Lucknow. The arrest has supposedly been made by STF Uttarakhand on the basis of evidence of leaking paper and dealing through Kendrapal and others. This is incidentally the first arrest made in the rigging of secretariat guard recruitment. This was informed by SSP STF Ajay Singh in a press conference held today.

However, the most crucial information made public so far in Graduate Level Recruitment Examination is the fact that the question paper had been leaked from the press of the UKSSSC located at UKSSSC Office in Raipur only during the time when the question paper was being printed by one official of the outsourced company. This official, named Pradeep Pal had obtained the question paper in a pend drive and leaked it to others. Pal has been arrested today.

The STF held a press conference after the arrest of Rajesh Chauhan, owner of RMS Company Lucknow on Saturday morning, in which STF made many revelations. Singh informed that an amount of Rs two crore had been paid to Rajesh, the owner of the company. Some money was also paid to his relatives. The arrest of the Kendrapal in the case late at night led to this information. The secretariat guard recruitment paper was stolen from the commission’s printing press computer. The employees and officers of the commission are also being investigated. STF SSP claimed that no one had been given a clean chit so far in the paper leak cases when asked whether the then Chairman of UKSSSC and the then Secretary of UKSSSC were also under radar or not. The STF further indicated that four to five people more were likely to be arrested soon. .

Ajay Singh made a big disclosure and clearly said that the secretariat guard recruitment paper was leaked from the office of the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, which was stolen from there by Pradeep Pal, an employee of the outsourced company. There are a total of 33 posts in the recruitment and a total of 66 candidates have been selected, the physical test is yet to be conducted.

In the discussion being done regarding the Secretariat Guard Recruitment Examination, it came to light that the question paper of the Secretariat Guard was printed by the Commission itself in the printing machines installed in the Commission Building, whose tender was given to RMS Technosolutions Pvt Ltd. of RMS Technosolutions Ltd Employee Pradeep Pal and his team had come to Raipur one week before the date of examination to set/print the question paper in the Commission’s printing press where this paper was stolen by Pradeep Pal through a pen drive. The place where the question paper was printed in the commission was inspected by the STF team and the laptop in which the question paper was prepared has been taken in possession and during the day the paper printing work was going on. The CCTV footage (the footage which was preserved by the commission) has been captured.

During the discussion, based on statements recorded of some such candidates who were selected, it was revealed that the question paper was already available before the examination. During the investigation, the accused Pradeep Pal has been arrested after interrogation on the basis of base evidence. The Secretariat Guard Recruitment was held on 26 September 2021.

Sources in the STF said that Hakam Singh has uncovered many secrets during his three-day interrogation. Soon some more people may also be arrested. One of his fellow Kendrapal has already surrendered in the Bijnor court. According to sources, the STF has also questioned the Kendrapal in Bijnor. He is believed to be an important link in this matter and may be a mastermind behind the paper leak. Uttarkashi district has the highest number of cases of copying. In Mori region alone, 80 candidates have passed. Most of them had secured the solved paper through Hakam Singh and others. They got this paper solved at different centres. Not only Hakam but two more people running parallel power are involved in this work. STF can take them into custody soon. According to sources, some more suspects have been questioned by the STF.
