Dehradun, 20 Aug: Doon University has marked its presence on Government of India’s new initiative ‘SWAYAM’ through UGC MOOCs Project on development of e-content for Post Graduate Courses. SWAYAM seeks to bridge the digital divide by taking the best teaching-learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. All the courses of SWAYAM can be accessed by anyone, anywhere and anytime.
Sikha Ahmad, Assistant Professor from Department of Economics, Doon University, has successfully completed developing a MOOC in “Mathematical Economics” as the Course coordinator and course instructor, supported by Ishteyaaq Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, as co-instructor. The course has made use of computer animation and graphics in study materials remarkably and has given the process of learning a new dimension.
The course is running onlineand is available at
https://swayam.gov.in/nd2_ugc19_hs41/preview. Around 1500 learners from all over India and abroad have already enrolled for the course. The last date of enrollment is 31 August, 2019. “Mathematical Economics” has been rated 5 Stars and as one of the most popular courses at Class Centraland is been included in all-time top 100 online courses of the world at present at its site (https://www.classcentral.com/).
