Only 3 cars allowed to enter RO campus for nominations: Namami Bansal

Dehradun, 19 Mar: Joint Chief Electoral Officer Namami Bansal held an election related press briefing in the Media Centre at the Secretariat here today. On this occasion, she informed that the nomination process will start from tomorrow and that a public notice for nomination will be pasted tomorrow at RO headquarters in all parliamentary constituencies. The Nominations will continue till 27 March from 11 am to 3 pm every day, except public holidays. A check list of documents to be provided by the candidates has also been made, which includes Form A, Form B, Affidavit, Proof of Security Deposit etc. To do the nomination process, online portal suvidha.eci.gov.in has also been arranged, in which the candidates can fill the registration online form through mobile number, after taking its print out and signing it, it will be sent to the RO office before the last date fixed for the nomination process. It will be mandatory to submit the same before the due date. Candidates can also select the time and date of submission of documents to the headquarters in the portal itself as per their convenience. Not more than three vehicles will be allowed within the radius of 100 meters of RO Headquarters. In this sequence, security preparations have also been completed in every RO headquarters.
The Joint Chief Electoral Officer said that posters and banners have been removed from about 94,000 buildings. About 3,066 cases of model conduct have been resolved through C-Vigil app, out of which 2,800 cases were found correct and were resolved within the stipulated time limit. With this, approximately 10,900 weapons have been deposited, and this process is continuing.
