CM Dhami extends greetings on Lok Parv Harela

Dehradun, 16 Jul: Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, conveyed best wishes to the people of Uttarakhand on the occasion of Harela festival. He said that the folk festival “Harela” dedicated to the environment is a symbol of the cultural tradition of Uttarakhand. It has been our tradition to protect the environment and give importance to nature. This festival also gives the message of prosperity, importance of culture, greenery and environmental protection.
The Chief Minister said that green is also a symbol of happiness, prosperity and awareness. Everyone has to pay attention to tree plantation and environmental protection so that our future generations can get a pure environment. Today countries around the world are worried about the problem of global warming. This festival also gives a message to fight against global warming. Along with plantations on a large scale, we also have to pay attention to their conservation. Stating that public participation is necessary for tree plantation, he has also expected cooperation from all social organizations.
CM said that Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand is the center of religion, spirituality and culture. Uttarakhand is a state with bio-diversities, its natural beauty attracts tourists. Our responsibility for environmental protection increases more and more. We all have to move forward in the direction of nature conservation with a dedicated spirit.
He said that there is a need for continuous efforts in the direction of environmental protection, and efforts for the revival and protection of water bodies in each district are the need of the hour. Environment protection is the collective responsibility of all of us so that the coming generations get a pure environment balanced with development.
Chief Minister Dhami said that our folk festivals are the identity of our cultural heritage. Continuous efforts are being made to take forward the rich folk culture of the state.
