Dehradun, 22 Apr: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio programme “Mann Ki Baat” is going to complete 100 editions on 30 April. To make the 100th edition of Mann Ki Baat special, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will organise programmes on this occasion at all the Raj Bhavans of the country. Governor Lt-General Gurmit Singh (Retd) discussed this with the officials of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at the Raj Bhavan, here, on Friday 21st April.
Giving information about the programme, the officials of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that there will be a special screening of the 100th edition of Mann Ki Baat at the Raj Bhavan. The Governor will be the Chief Guest at the event. Eminent people in various fields, public representatives, etc., will be invited.
Apart from this, people from the state whose work has been appreciated in the previous Mann Ki Baat programme, will also be invited to attend. An exhibition will also be organised by PIB in the Raj Bhavan premises.
Lt-General Singh stated that it would be a matter of pride for all to witness the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat. He said that the Prime Minister has revived interest in radio broadcast with his Mann Ki Baat. He asked the officers to complete all the preparations with mutual coordination to make the programme a success.
On this occasion, Ravinath Raman, Secretary to the Governor, Amit Srivastava, Joint Director, Information, Dr Nitin Upadhyay, Director, Doordarshan Kendra Taranjit Kaur, Incharge, Press Information Bureau (Ministry of I&B) Anil Sharma and officers of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting were among those present.
