Dehradun, 2 Feb: Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Uttarakhand, police teams surveyed ‘vulnerable’ polling booths in Doiwala and Ranipokhri areas. The SP, Rural, physically verified the current condition of polling booths in the villages falling under his jurisdiction.
It was made sure that electricity, clean drinking water, and working toilets are available in all the booths. He further instructed Booth Level Officers to establish communication with the police to conduct a free and fair election.
All the villagers were motivated to cast their votes in the assembly elections. Citizens should vote for candidates of their choice without any pressure, added the SP. He even ordered the police team present to ensure a peaceful election process.
The Uttarakhand polls will be held in a single phase on 14 February this year. Assembly election results will be announced on 10 March by the EC.
