Producer OP Bhatt discusses film shoot in U’khand with CM

DEHRADUN, 24 Dec: The film producer from Uttarakhand, Om Prakash Bhatt, who recently catapulted to fame with his Marathi hit, ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa’, met Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at his office, here, today.
He discussed the possibilities of shooting a bilingual film in Uttarakhand. The movie is an upcoming mega project with Amitabh Bachchan and South’s superstar, SJ Surya, on the rolls.
Prakash Bhatt met the Chief Minister with SJ Surya, Director T Tamilvannan, Sujay Shankarwar and Dr Anjali Nauriyal.
Speaking about the movie, Bhatt declared, “This is going to be the first time that Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan would act in any South Indian bilingual movie and, if all goes well, we will shoot for about 40 days at a stretch in my home state of Uttarakhand.”
The Chief Minister presented Kedarnath replicas as mementos to the Director T Tamilvannan and Actor SJ Surya.
Bhatt, who launched his production company, Purple Bull Entertainment with much fanfare a couple of years ago, has expressed his desire to shoot in the state for 35 to 40 days, provided the state government provides the requisites and the support system that he considers relevant for an initiative of this mega scale. At the meeting with the CM, various aspects of the film were discussed. The CM and his team, including Dilip Jawalkar and KS Chauhan, were proactive in their interaction and offered all possible help to make the shooting of the film a smooth and memorable experience for the team.
Om Prakash Bhatt has to his credit the production of projects such as Marathi blockbuster ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa’ and ‘Crime Patrol’. His film, Milan Talkies, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, is slated for a February 2019 release. His under-production film starring Lulia Vantur, titled ‘Radha Kyon Gori Main Kyon Kala’, is currently being shot in Mathura.
