Dehradun, 10 Jun: Special pujas were conducted at various temples across Uttarakhand to mark completion of twelve years in power as PM for Narendra Modi. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also extended congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing twelve continuous years as the country’s elected leader, the longest tenure in India’s democratic history. To commemorate the occasion, special pujas and rituals were performed across Uttarakhand, including the Char Dham shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, as well as Shakti temples, Kashi Vishwanath temple in Uttarkashi and other prominent shrines. These ceremonies, held with Vedic chants, prayed for the Prime Minister’s long life, good health, able leadership and the nation’s continued progress.

In Dehradun’s Tapkeshwar temple, Doon Yogpeeth and Sahaspur’s Balaji Dham temple, BJP leaders, yoga gurus and party workers joined in prayers and lauded Modi’s leadership, reiterating the resolve to make India a developed nation. BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt offered prayers at Balaji Dham temple in Jhajhra, Sahaspur, wishing for Modi’s longevity and well-being. He said that under Modi’s leadership the country has achieved remarkable progress in development, security, economic growth and global recognition over the past twelve years, and India has emerged as a strong and confident nation on the world stage. He emphasised that the vision of a developed India requires the support and participation of all citizens. On this occasion, local MLA Sahdev Pundeer was also present.

At Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple in Garhi Cantt, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi performed special rituals and prayed for the Prime Minister’s health and long life. He described the moment as historic and proud in India’s democratic journey, noting that Modi has served the nation for 4,399 consecutive days, setting new milestones in development, good governance and welfare. Joshi said that this achievement is not merely a statistic but a symbol of the unwavering trust and support of 140 crore Indians. He highlighted that initiatives such as poverty alleviation, women’s empowerment, farmer welfare, opportunities for youth, Digital India, modern infrastructure and Atmanirbhar Bharat have given the country a new direction. He added that India’s rising stature on the global stage is a direct result of Modi’s leadership, under which the nation is advancing rapidly towards the goal of becoming a developed India.
At one of the four famous Siddha temples in Dehradun, Kalu Siddha Temple, Haridwar MP and former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat also offered puja and prayed for long life of Modi.
At Doon Yogpeeth in Dehradun, a special prayer and yoga programme was also organised for the Prime Minister’s long life. Founder Yogacharya Bipin Joshi described Modi as a “Rashtra Rishi”, stating that his efforts have given yoga global recognition. The celebrations across Uttarakhand reflected both gratitude and pride in the Prime Minister’s leadership, with prayers offered for his continued guidance in steering India towards prosperity and strength.
