DEHRADUN, 9 Nov: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who was in Dehradun to attend the main State Formation Day function today spoke informally with the media persons. In response to a question, Singh termed the Supreme Court verdict in the Ayodhya case as historic. The Defense Minister said that in the judgment of the Supreme Court, there was no meaning of victory or defeat of anyone. He also appealed everyone to maintain peace and not see the judgement as victory or defeat of any one. He also claimed that the judgement would strengthen the unity and the feeling of Sarva Dharma Sambhav in the country. In response to another question, Singh said that time had probably come for a uniform civil code too. It may be recalled that several petitions filed in the court seeking uniform civil codes and the court has clubbed them together.
