Randomisation of personnel completed in Doon for municipal polls

Dehradun, 31 Dec: For the successful conduct of the municipal elections in Dehradun district, the first randomisation of personnel was completed today at a special meeting held at the Collectorate in the presence of District Magistrate/District Election Officer Savin Bansal. A total of 5,888 personnel, including reserve personnel, were randomised for 1,071 booths across 2 Municipal Corporations (Dehradun and Rishikesh), 4 Municipal Councils, and 1 Nagar Panchayat in the district. This includes 20 pink booths (meant for women only) under Municipal Corporation Dehradun and 5 for Municipal Corporation Rishikesh.

During the meeting, District Election Officer Savin Bansal directed the officers to immediately provide information about the appointed personnel to the department heads concerned, to ensure that they are relieved from their departments for timely election duty training. The randomisation done today included 1,135 polling parties with 4,540 personnel for 845 booths of Doon Municipal Corporation, 118 polling parties with 472 personnel for 86 booths of Municipal Corporation, Rishikesh, 89 polling parties with 356 personnel for 59 booths under Municipal Council, Doiwala, 48 polling parties with 192 personnel for 30 booths of Municipal Council, Mussoorie, 35 polling parties with 140 personnel for 22 booths of Municipal Council, Vikasnagar, 23 polling parties with 92 personnel for 14 booths of Municipal Council, Herbertpur, and 24 polling parties with 96 personnel for 15 booths of Municipal Panchayat, Selaqui.

On this occasion, Chief Development Officer/Deputy District Election Officer Abhinav Shah, District Informatics Officer Ranjeet Singh Chauhan, District Tourism Development Officer Seema Nautiyal, along with other officers and personnel, were present.
