Dehradun, 31 Dec: Senior BJP leader Ravindra Jugran reached the Forest Headquarters at Rajpur Road here today and managed to convince the candidates for appointment as forest guards to end their fast and protest. The aspirants for the posts of forest guard have been on strike for the last month.
Jugran informed the candidates that due to the intervention of Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal and in compliance with the Forest Minister’s order, the Uttarakhand Government has directed the Forest Headquarters to issue the waiting list for the registered applicants for the appointment of forest guards.
The candidates expressed their gratitude to Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal and also thanked Ravindra Jugran, who has been acting as a bridge between the candidates and the government for the last six months.
