Dhami greets people on New Year

Dehradun, 31 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has wished all the people of the state a Happy New Year 2025. In his message issued on the eve of the New Year, the CM wished happiness, peace and prosperity to all the people of the state. He noted that Uttarakhand is celebrating the 25th year of its formation as Devbhoomi Silver Jubilee Year.
The CM on the occasion also asserted that Uttarakhand has established many new dimensions in its development journey so far. Highlighting the essence of the state movement, he stated that holistic and balanced development has always been at the core of Uttarakhand’s vision. To give this vision a concrete shape, initiatives have been undertaken to foster development rooted in transparency, public participation, and a progressive work culture.
Dhami also remarked that alongside striving for overall state development, Uttarakhand has successfully carved out a unique identity in the nation. This has been achieved through innovative and far-reaching efforts in key areas such as tourism, agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry. By identifying these sectors as drivers of economic growth and combining them with a commitment to nature and cultural conservation, the state has made remarkable strides in achieving sustainable progress, he claimed.
The CM further emphasised the state’s efforts to integrate its uneven geographical landscape with the mainstream development process through better financial management and by recognising the unique potential of specific regions. He reiterated that the government is committed to fulfilling public aspirations and ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the most marginalised sections of society.
Dhami also claimed that Uttarakhand has not only met but exceeded expectations in shaping planned and accelerated development aligned with public needs. The successful implementation of programmes addressing state interests has earned widespread recognition.
He reminded that the NITI Aayog has praised the state’s efforts, particularly for the effective execution of development schemes and innovative approaches. These efforts have propelled Uttarakhand to the top spot in the Sustainable Development Index, reaffirming its dedication to sustainable and inclusive progress. The CM also reiterated that the government remains steadfast in its mission to build a prosperous and equitable Uttarakhand, grounded in its people’s aspirations and its natural and cultural heritage.
