Dehradun, 27 Jan: ED-Head Corporate Administration (HCA), Vijay Raj unfurled the national Tricolour in the presence of ED-Basin Manager-Frontier Basins Rajeev Tandon, other senior officers and ONGCians present in the forecourt of the Subir Raha Oil Museum, Tel Bhavan, here on the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day.
Addressing the gathering, ED-HCA wished a happy Republic Day 2022 to all ONGCians and those present on the occasion.
He recalled that this day was specifically chosen because it was on this day in 1930, that the declaration of Independence, Poorn Swaraj, was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress.
He said, “While we celebrate the 75th year of Independence through Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, we call to mind the sacrifices made by our ‘energy soldiers’ in the Nations’ tremendous growth story.
The HCA referred to the vision of the late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the then President of India, had given to ONGC in 2005 at Tel Bhavan, when he urged the Corporation to become a world leading Energy Company. He urged all ONGCians to truly resolve to live up to the vision set by the pioneers and visionaries. ONGC had to be envisioned as an energy giant meeting the ever-growing energy demands of the nation. He concluded that they needed to resolve to work together with the same vigour as the pioneers to achieve this dream with ignited minds.
A bunch of tricolour balloons was released by ED-HCA Vijay Raj and ED-Basin Manager- Frontier Basins Rajeev Tandon to mark the 73rd Republic Day.
CGM-Support Manager Ajay Kalsi, GM-Incharge Electrical SS Thakur, GM- Incharge CSR RR Dwivedi, GM (Civil) AK Chauhan, GM (E&T) Kamlesh Dobhal, Incharge Fire Services and HSE Pawan Kumar, senior officers and ONGCians were also present on the occasion. The event was compered by DishaTiwari, AEE (I.E).
The Tricolour was simultaneously unfurled by ED- Head, ONGC Academy, Manoj Barthwal at KDMIPE Campus, Dr Ravi Mishra and HOI- IDT (Officiating) Ashok Kumar, GGM (D), at IDT to mark the 73rd Republic Day.
