Dehradun, 11 Jun: The Additional Chief Electoral Officer (ACEO) Vijay Kumar Jogdade reviewed the progress of the special intensive revision (SIR) campaign, constituency by constituency, for Dehradun district at the Collectorate here today. Returning officers and electoral registration officers participated in the meeting. During the meeting, Jogdande directed all the returning officers and the electoral registration officers to log on to the portal twice daily, in the morning and evening, to review SIR activities and ensure regular monitoring of progress. He ordered that door-to-door distribution of forms be completed 100 per cent and details updated on the portal by 18 June 2026, and that forms which have been fully completed by voters be uploaded to the portal without delay.
The ACEO also directed instructed the assistant district election officer to prepare special action plans for areas showing relatively low progress and to coordinate with the concerned returning officers and electoral registration officers. He asked that the reasons for slow progress be analysed and that BLOs be given necessary training and guidance so that the work can be expedited. He further directed that special camps be organised at housing societies, office complexes and other public venues to enrol as many citizens as possible into the campaign, and emphasised increased publicity across various media to raise awareness and motivate voters to complete the forms.
He stressed that, alongside meeting the deadline for form distribution, digitisation targets must also be achieved daily as per the prescribed goals. For polling stations showing sluggish progress, he ordered personal monitoring by the officers concerned, with close coordination between BLOs and technical staff to promptly resolve causes of delay.
The officials informed the meeting that the district has a total of 13,76,813 electors. To date 3,27,236 EFS forms have been distributed and 16,748 forms have been digitised. Distribution of the remaining 10,49,577 EFS forms is to be completed by 18 June, while 13,60,065 forms remain to be digitised.
Present at the meeting were Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Smrita Parmar, SDMs Vinod Kumar, Apurva Singh, Kumkum Joshi, Aparna Singh, Tehsildar Vikasnagar Vivek Rajouri, Tehsildar Sadar Surendra Singh, Tehsildar Pradeep Negi, Assistant District Election Officer Narendra Devli and the concerned returning officers and electoral registration officers. Returning Officer Mussoorie/Joint Magistrate Rahul Anand and other officers joined the meeting virtually.
