CII Northern Region gets new Office Bearers

CHANDIGARH, 7 Mar: Sameer Gupta and Nikhil Sawhney have been elected as the Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively of CII Northern Region for the year 2019-20.
The new incumbents were elected during the first meeting of the newly elected Regional Council members held in Chandigarh, today. Mr Gupta will head the CII Northern Region which comprises Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Union Territory Chandigarh.
Elaborating on the priorities for the 2019-20, Gupta said, “Our initiatives for the year would primarily focus on enhancing industry competitiveness, fostering ground for favourable industry policies, skill development and inclusivity, adoption of contemporary technology and innovations and working towards provisioning opportunities for industrial growth & development.”
Gupta, is the Chairman and Managing Director of Jakson Group which is one of the Country’s leading diversified power companies.
Nikhil Sawhney, is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Triveni Turbines Ltd and a Director with Triveni Engineering and Industries Limited and GE Triveni Limited.
