Dehradun, 26 Aug: The Student Induction Programme witnessed wide participation of students at Mayadevi University here under the banner of “Sanskararambh 2025”.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, former Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University and Sridev Suman University, Dr US Rawat said that in the present scenario the only path to success is through hard work. Although challenges may arise, self-confidence and patience will ultimately turn them into victory. Citing examples from the scriptures, eminent personalities, and scientists, he shared inspirational thoughts with the students. He emphasised that while mobile phones and the internet contain abundant knowledge, good books enrich one with deeper understanding and vocabulary.
Dr JP Pachauri, former professor at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University and advisor to SGRR Education Mission, stated that failure is not the end of life. He stressed that destiny, effort, and prayer (positivity) are important aspects of life. “Today, you have a lot to learn. This is truly the era of knowledge,” he said. He also reminded students that every individual is unique and therefore should not be compared with others. Remaining positive in life is the key, he added.
Present were Prof Dr Ashish Semwal, Vice-Chancellor of Mayadevi University, and Dr Tripti Juyal Semwal, Vice-President of Maya Devi Education Foundation. The programme was streamed live for students present in the auditoriums of various blocks.
At the ceremony, Maya Devi University’s Advisor and former Registrar of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Dr HL Upadhyay, Dr Sita Juyal, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Sandeep Vijay, Registrar Dr Vijay Singh, Deans, Professors, and other officials were also present.
