CM inaugurates, lays foundation stones of 37 schemes in Kapkot

Kapkot (Bageshwar), 2 Jan: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Matrishakti Utsav programme organised at Kedareshwar Maidan in Kapkot development block, here, today. On this occasion, the CM inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of development schemes of various departments worth about Rs 100 crore. This includes inauguration of 11 projects and works worth Rs 19 crores and laying of foundation stones for 26 projects worth Rs 81 crores.

Later, addressing the gathering, CM Dhami also announced the establishment of a drug de-addiction centre in Bageshwar district, installation of 90 statues in the museum of Bagnath Temple, Bageshwar, a 100 Metric Tonnes Capacity Godown in Badiyakot Karmi Talai. Besides this, he also announced approval of proposals related to construction of a warehouse and residential building, construction of a community health centre in Kapkot Assembly constituency and an additional district hospital, construction of multi-level parking in Shama along with parking in Bharari also in Bageshwar district. The Chief Minister also announced that the origin of Saryu River will be upgraded to a tourist destination.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also visited the stalls set up by various departments and self-help groups. He also appreciated the handicrafts manufactured in the region. He also tried his hand at weaving Ringaal Bamboo baskets and making artefacts of copper.

He also honoured the brave wives of martyrs by worshiping Matrushakti under the slogan ‘Strong Matrushakti-Strong Uttarakhand’. He also observed adventure tourism and disaster management activities in the district, and later on also distributed cheques to the beneficiaries who have benefited under various schemes run by the government.

Saluting the holy land of Baba Bagnath as well as the women present in large numbers in the Cheli Byrayun Kauthik programme, Dhami inaugurated and laid foundation stone for projects worth more than Rs 100 for Bageshwar district.  He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the respect shown by the public in the rally and program.

Almora MP Ajay Tamta said that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand is making continuous progress. Recently, under the Global Investors Committee, people from all over the world were invited to Uttarakhand. Today, employment opportunities are being created in every part of Uttarakhand. Women are being given employment through self-help groups.

MLA Suresh Gadhiya said that, for the first time, such a large number of people had gathered in Kapkot area. He said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand state and Bageshwar district are continuously progressing.
