Secretary VS Pandey reports on progress of Global Investors’ Summit MoUs to Gov



Dehradun, 6 May: Secretary, Industry and Chief Minister’s Office, Vinay Shankar Pandey met Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) at the Raj Bhavan, here, today.

Pandey presented a copy of a document based on the progress of Global Investors’ Summit 2023 to the Governor.

Pandey said that the Global Investors’ Summit provided an important platform for investment in Uttarakhand, which has strengthened the state economically and industrially. He also informed the Governor about the important decisions of last year’s conference and shared the plans for the coming years. Pandey stated that, till now, MoUs worth about Rs 71,000 crore have been implemented on the ground and the process is also in motion for the remaining works.

The Governor praised the leadership and officers of the state for this success and appreciated their hard work. He appreciated the efforts of all to promote the social and economic status of Uttarakhand for investment in various sectors. The Governor said that the way the state made preparations before organising this summit was unprecedented, the results of which are being seen.

The Governor said that the investors who signed MoUs worth more than Rs 3.5 lakh crore during the Investors’ Summit are members of the Uttarakhand family. They are also the state’s brand ambassadors, so it is a duty to provide all necessary facilities to them. The Governor asked Pandey to prepare a team of young officers and technical experts to work on development and progress initiatives.
