CM, DG, Information, & media organisations condole death of Majila

Dehradun, 10 Feb: Senior journalist and video cameraman Manjul Singh Majila passed away this morning due to a heart attack while covering the National Games at Raipur Stadium. He was immediately rushed to Coronation Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Following a post-mortem, his body was handed over to his family. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Director General, Information, Banshidhar Tiwari have condoled the untimely passing away of Majila.
Majila had reached the Maharana Sport College this morning to cover the ongoing national games when this incident occurred. The 48-year-old journalist is survived by his wife and two sons, who are still pursuing their education. Manjul has had a long career in journalism, working with Sahara TV for over two decades and later with India Live. At the time of his passing, he was actively covering the National Games.
Known for his humble nature and expertise in his field, Manjul was regarded as a highly skilled cameraman and an electronic media journalist. His journalism was marked not only by professionalism but also by a humanity that inspired his colleagues. His bubbly personality was such that he energised everyone around him. He excelled not only in his work but also maintained discipline regarding his health. His close friends share that he woke up every day at five in the morning, regularly running, and keeping his body balanced were integral parts of his routine. He did not let obesity overpower him and he prioritised fitness. Yet, a sudden cardiac arrest took away his life at the premature age of 48 years.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep sorrow over his untimely demise, praying for peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.
Director General, Information, Banshidhar Tiwari also extended his condolences, while Uttaranchal Press Club President Bhupendra Kandari stated that the entire press fraternity stands in solidarity with Manjul’s family in this difficult time. Various organisations such as Journalists Union of Uttarakhand, National Journalists Union, various political leaders, social activists and social organisations have also mourned his passing away.
