RISHIKESH, 21 Jul: Prof Ravi Kant, Director, AIIMS Rishikesh, addressed the students, teachers and other participants of JC Bose University, today, in a lecture based on excellence, motivation of leadership and performance.
Prof Ravi Kant was speaking at the Virtual Intellectual Conference -2020 organised under the aegis of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad. As the keynote speaker, he that it was important for leaders to review progress, train people, resolve issues and ensure the desired results. Also, it was necessary to meditate on all those aspects, so that the leadership and performance capacity associated with an organisation could be strengthened in the future. He said that setting a goal in life was not enough; achieving that goal was the real success. If one decides on a strategy in life, then it should be pursued with full confidence. This confidence served as a special link in the execution of that strategy and its success.
Motivating the students during the lecture, Prof Ravi Kant also mentioned ancient medical practices. He said that Ayurveda was an ancient system of medicine, but it needed to be revived from the present medical point of view. He defined the elaborate methodology of intellectual ability and its implications, emphasising its correct use. He described the four pillars of intellectual ability – IQ (intelligence quotient), EQ (emotional quotient), SQ (spiritual quotient) and MQ (mathematical quotient), which needed to be adopted.
