MUSSOORIE, 21 Jul: Mussoorie Kotwal Devendra Aswal held a meeting with members of the Muslim community at the Landour Police Station regarding Eid-al- Adha. At the meeting, the Kotwal advised them to offer Namaz by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. He urged Masjid Samitis to ensure all precautions in the mosques. Sacrifices could be performed inside homes with the permission of the administration. He said Mussoorie was the symbol of brotherhood, where people of all religions celebrate each other’s festivals with mutual harmony. He claimed the police were fully prepared for the festival of Eid. Manzoor Ahmad promised that the festival of Eid will be celebrated with simplicity. He said that the economic condition of all the people in the corona epidemic was weak, in such a situation, the festival would be celebrated in accordance with the directions issued by the government and administration. All would pray for peace in the country and an end to the Corona pandemic.
