Dehradun, 30 Dec: The government has approved time scale promotion for seven IAS officers of the 2009 batch of Uttarakhand Cadre to the Secretary level pay scale. Orders to this effect were issued by Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan today.
According to the order issued by Bardhan today, 2009 batch IAS officers Dr Raghav Langer, Savin Bansal, C Ravi Shankar, Jyoti Yadav, Yugal Kishore Pant, Ranveer Singh Chauhan, and Dhiraj Singh Garbyal have been promoted to the Super-time pay scale.
The Governor has approved the promotion of these officers of the Indian Administrative Service (Uttarakhand cadre) to the Secretary pay scale / Supertime Scale Rs 1,44,200-2,18,200, Level-14 (unrevised pay scale Rs 37,400-67,000 + grade pay Rs 10,000) with effect from 1 January, 2025.
This promotion marks a significant career milestone for these officers in the Uttarakhand cadre of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
Sources said that in coming months, these officers are likely to be officially posted as Secretaries to the Government of Uttarakhand. Some of the officers concerned are presently posted as District Magistrates at the present including Savin Bansal. It remains to be seen how long these officers remain DMs in their respective districts in spite of being promoted to the Secretary level or when they are posted as Secretaries to the government.
