Dehradun, 26 Nov: When intentions are high, difficulties become easy. Shubham Chauhan, resident of Tiprad village of Jaunsar Bawar, followed this principle to success. He has completed his rigorous training for the post of Assistant Commandant in the Indian Coast Guard and, today, he passed out from the Indian Naval Academy, Ajmula, Kerala.

Shubham’s early education took place in Vikas Nagar, where he studied at Sainik School, Ghorakhal, from class 9 to 12, and later studied at Delhi University. It was during his studies that Shubham was selected for the Indian Coast Guard.

Today, when Shubham became Assistant Commandant, his father Shamsher Singh Chauhan, who is an officer in Uttarakhand Police, and his mother Poonam Chauhan, are feeling proud of the stars on his shoulder.

Jaunsar Bawar is also proud of Shubham’s success. That a son from this area will defend the coastal borders of the country, makes the people of his community proud.
