Kotdwar, 16 Jun: Assembly Speaker and Kotdwar MLA Ritu Khanduri Bhushan conducted a surprise inspection of the works underway in her constituency along with departmental officials.
The Speaker inspected the irrigation canal being built in Sigaddi and directed the officials to remove debris from the roadside. She said that the irrigation canal built at a cost of crores of rupees is now completely ready. This canal will provide relief to the people of Sigaddi in agriculture. Along with this, the Speaker also inspected the irrigation canals being built in Ramdayalpur directed completion of the work on time.
Ritu Khanduri Bhushan inspected the Malan Bridge along with the officials. Unhappy with the progress, the Assembly Speaker gave strict orders to expedite the work. She also directed the department to remove the debris accumulated under the Malan bridge before the arrival of monsoon.
