Dehradun, 16 Jun: A two day ‘Capacity Building Program on Ethics & Integrity’ was conducted at The Pestle Weed School, here, under the aegis of CBSE. The resource person for the event was Dr Geeta Shukla, Principal of Tons Bridge, who is also founder of Mindful Counsellor.
The second resource person was Dr Seema Bhushan, Principal of Greenway Modern School, Roorkee.
As many as 32 participants from various schools of Dehradun and adjoining towns of Rishikesh, Vikasnagar, Mussoorie, Manav Bharti School, Kasiga School, and Children’s Academy attended the workshop.
The first day’s session began in the presence of Dr Prem Kashyap, Chairman, The Pestle Weed School, and Jatin Sethi, Principal of The Pestle Weed School.
The session began with the announcement of an activity to draw pictures of participants’ faces which were to be recognised by others. Then more activities were given like creating words with alphabets. Dr Seema Bhushan and Dr Geeta Shukla explained the values of ethics and integrity in a funny way.
The second day began with the activity of recognising the name by making a circle of all the teachers. They had to look at the others’ names and to remember them. Afterwards, various videos were shown on ethics and integrity and groups were created. After watching the videos, the participants had to present that topic in their own way as skits, and presentation by drawing on the charts, and newspaper interpretation. The best part of this session was antakshri which was enjoyed by all.
At the end of the session questionnaires were distributed to summarise the program and each and every teacher had to do it.
Dr Prem Kashyap also addressed the gathering. He spoke about the NEP which is based on activity so that the learners do not get bored. He also said that we while adopting new values not to forget old ethics. He added that this workshop would be very fruitful for the future generation.
The workshop was highly productive as the teacher participants got new insight on ways to build the capacity of each and every student by working upon their emotional and intellectual needs.
