St Joseph’s Academy hosts Annual Orientation programme


Dehradun, 6 Apr: The Orientation programme organised by the Junior school, is an annual tradition of extending a warm welcome to the new entrants of Lower Kindergarten and their parents.
Through this programme, parents are acquainted and informed about the policies and services offered by the school and are given a first hand view of the school’s history, faculty and facilities.
The programme started with a prayer and was followed by the lighting of the lamp by
Principal Reverend Brother Babu Varghese, Vice Principal Brother Binoi, Junior School Coordinator S Hasan and the senior and middle school coordinators respectively.
The programme witnessed an array of beautiful dances by Lkg, Ukg, 1st, 4th and 5th grades.
School Councillor Dr Preetima Verma enlightened the parents with valuable guidance on how to deal with separation anxiety and ensure their children a smooth transition to school.
Bro Varghese congratulated the parents and their children for becoming a part of the Josephite family and expressed confidence that the new students would find their experience at St. Joseph’s an enriching one. He said it was important for parents to understand that their goal was not to make their children strive for perfection, but to become good human beings first.
Junior School Coordinator S. Hasan said the Orientation ceremony was not only a proud moment for the parents but for the school as well. She also apprised the parents on the importance of value impartation which she said starts from the family and extends it roots towards school and society.
The programme concluded with the junior school choir singing the school song.
