Dehradun, 4 Sep: A four day Monsoon Session of the Uttarakhand Assembly will begin from tomorrow and is expected to last till 8 September. The Assembly Secretariat has completed all preparations to conduct the session smoothly. In the four-day session, a supplementary budget, and 10 percent horizontal reservation bill for statehood activists or their dependants will be tabled and passed by the House.

More than 600 questions have been listed for Question Hour in the session. The Opposition members are likely to create ruckus over some issues such as the registry scam, recruitment scams and Ankita Bhandari case, besides some other issues. Sources also added that the Congress legislators are planning to protest the raids of the State Vigilance Department on senior Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat’s properties. They will claim undue harassment of the Congress leaders by the government. In addition, the Congress leaders might also protest against the revival of a CBI inquiry into the infamous sting case involving former CM Harish Rawat, former Minister Harak Singh Rawat and Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar.
