Surender Mohan Pathak honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at Crime Literature Festival

Dehradun, 1 Dec: On the third day of the second edition of the Crime Literature Festival of India, renowned Hindi-language crime fiction author, Surender Mohan Pathak, was presented with the prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement Award‘ for his invaluable contributions to the world of Hindi crime literature. Widely regarded as the “King of Hindi Crime Fiction,” Pathak has authored nearly 300 novels, earning him legendary status in the literary community.
The award was presented by a distinguished panel, including Former DGP of Uttarakhand and Author Aloke Lal (Festival Director), Retired IPS Officer and Author Ashok Kumar (Festival Chairman), Actor and Screenwriter Akash Khurana, Indian Singer and Actor Karan Oberoi, and popular Crime Reporter and Anchor Shams Tahir Khan.
Pathak, who is considered one of the pioneers of Hindi crime fiction, has captivated readers for decades with his gripping narratives, often centered on characters like Sunil, a suave investigative journalist, and Vimal, a Robin Hood-like figure in the Mumbai underworld. His stories explore the criminal world, offering suspense and intrigue while shedding light on the complex dynamics of crime and justice.
In his acceptance speech, Pathak expressed his gratitude and shared his joy with his fans and supporters: “I am very glad and I want to share this award with each one of you.”
Through his work, Surender Mohan Pathak has not only enriched the genre of Hindi crime fiction but has also inspired a new generation of writers and readers, leaving a lasting impact on the literary world.
