Dehradun, 30 Sep: Uttarakhand Assembly Secretary Mukesh Singhal, who is currently suspended and facing charges of irregularities, has been sent on attachment by Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan to the Assembly Secretariat at Gairsain (Bhararisain).
It is learnt that Singhal joined his posting at Gairsain yesterday evening.
Mukesh Singhal has been suspended by the Speaker of the Assembly. It may be recalled that he had been promoted thrice in a period of less than 6 months by the then Speaker, Prem Chand Aggarwal, and appointed as Secretary bypassing several of his seniors. Not only this, he had also passed an order raising his salary after his promotion. He is also being investigated for his role in the irregular appointments of over 228 persons in the Assembly Secretariat, which have since been terminated.
