Team Dynamic Energy wins in U’khand Prelims of CII’s 32nd QC Competition

Haridwar, 29 Aug: The Dynamic Energy Quality Circle from Denso India Pvt Ltd was adjudged the winner and awarded the “Winners’ Trophy” in the 32nd Quality Circle Preliminary Competition 2019 organised by Confederation of Indian Industry, here, today. The “First Runner up Trophy” was won by Pathfinder Quality Circle from Honda Cars India Ltd and Neenv Quality Circle from Bharat Electronics Ltd got the “Second Runner up Trophy”. These teams will now participate in the Regional Final as a precursor to the National Competition.
The Samurai team from Carborundum Universal Limited; Delight team from Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt Ltd; PARYAAS team from Rockman Industries Ltd; S1T Final Line team from Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd received the Special Recognition Award, while RAFTAAR team from ITC Ltd; JOSH team from Cavendish Industries Limited; Unnati team from Hindustan Unilever Limited; PARVAH team from Honda Cars India Ltd received the Consolation Prizes.
Over 120 workers from 20 Quality Circle teams participated in the Competition and shared their case studies on the specific projects handled by them at their work place. The assessment of the presentations was made on a weighted scale covering different aspects of the Quality Circle activity. The evaluation was based on factors like problem selection, analysis, solution, presentation, etc.
The panel of judges comprised Deepak Tikle, Vice President, Inko Technologies, Haridwar; Amit Vaidya, Plant Head, C&S Electric, Haridwar, and Ashish Kulshreshtha, Plant Head, Napino Auto & Electronics Limited.
The Chief Guest at the occasion, Sandeep Jain, Past Chairman, CII Uttarakhand State Council, & Director, Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd, gave away the trophies to the winners. While addressing the gathering, Jain mentioned that Quality Control was essential to building a successful business that delivered products that met or exceeded customers’ expectations. It also formed the basis of an efficient business that minimises waste and operates at high levels of productivity.
Quality Circle teams from Bharat Electronics Limited, Carborundum Universal Limited, Cavendish Industries Limited (a JK Tyre Associate), Denso India Pvt Ltd, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Honda Cars India Ltd, ITC Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Mahle Anand Filter Systems Pvt Ltd, Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt Ltd, Rockman Industries Ltd, Titan Company Ltd, Tupperware India Pvt Ltd participated in the competition.
