Dehradun, 29 Aug: St Joseph’s Academy welcomed two of its ex-students, Gaurav Sood and Bhuvanyaa Vijay, who visited the school to give motivational talks to the senior school students.
Gaurav Sood studied in SJA till class VI and thereafter graduated from The Doon School as the All India ISC Board Examination topper in 2008, securing 99%. He pursued his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St Stephen’s College, Delhi. Gaurav has authored a book for the young aspirants, titled ‘ How I Topped the Boards and You Can Too’. He loves playing tennis and is a guitarist as well. Gaurav is currently on a full scholarship at The Oxford University.
Bhuvanyaa Vijay was the All India ISC Board Examination Topper in 2013. During her school days, she was a keen debater and had won The Frank Anthony All-India Inter-School Debate Competition, twice. Bhuvanyaa topped the National Law School, Bengaluru, in 2018 and is currently working as an online faculty with The Oxford University.
Both, Gaurav and Bhuvanyaa motivated the young Josephites to have a vision in life and turn it into a reality. In an interactive session with the senior school students, they answered the questions of one and all.
It was an enlightening session for the young children to have their idols talk to them straight. The seminar concluded with Gaurav and Bhuvanyaa being felicitated with tokens of love and gratitude.
