Ten students of Chaman Lal College join defence services

Landhaura (Haridwar), 9 Jun: Chaman Lal Postgraduate College (Autonomous) has once again achieved remarkable success in defence services recruitment. In the recently declared final results of the Army Agniveer recruitment, nine students of the college have been selected, while one student has secured a place in the Territorial Army.

Those selected in the Agniveer recruitment include Rohit Kumar, Sagar Dhiman, Naveen Kumar, Anivesh Kumar, Himanshu Gupta, Vineet, Aryan Rana, Mohammad Kaif and Mohammad Uzair. Except for Mohammad Uzair, all are cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). In addition, Cadet Saurabh Singh has been selected in the Territorial Army.

Principal Sushil Upadhyay and NCC Officer Lt Aparna Sharma stated that, in the past three years, 25 students of the college have successfully joined the Army, Navy, Air Force, Territorial Army and Border Security Force, reflecting the institution’s consistent contribution to the nation’s defence and paramilitary forces.

College Management Committee Chairman Ramkumar Sharma described the achievement as noteworthy and announced that a public felicitation ceremony will be organised to honour the successful students and their parents. Committee Secretary Arun Harit congratulated the selected youth and advised them to continue preparing for the future so that after completing four years of service under the Agniveer scheme they can secure permanent opportunities in the Indian Army or other paramilitary forces. He also urged other students of the college to draw inspiration from these accomplishments.
