Dehradun, 4 Oct: The compulsion of a time limit for pension revision for the state government pensioners and family pensioners has been abolished by the government. It is good news for pensioners and family pensioners receiving pensions from the treasury.
After the abolition of the condition of time limit, the state government pensioners and family pensioners who have not been able to get their pensions revised until now will be able to submit their pension revision forms to the treasury officer/sub-treasurer through their department.
Director, Treasury, Pension, and Entitlement, Uttarakhand, Dinesh Chandra Lohani, has stated that according to the government order of 2018, the pension/family pension of state government pensioners/family pensioners retiring before January 1, 2016, was to be revised in accordance with the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. This revision was required to be prepared online by the DDO (Drawing and Disbursement Officer), certified, and sent to the treasury. The last date for this had been fixed as 31 March, 2019. The deadline for making the pension revision form available in the treasury was later extended to 30 September, 2023. Now the obligation of the time limit has been done away with totally in case of pension revision. Now, the pensioners or family pensioners, whose pension revision proceedings have not been completed can also submit the forms through their department to the treasury officer/sub-treasurer office concerned.
