Mussoorie, 24 Sep: Under the aegis of the Tourism Department, here, Rajas Aero Sports and local shopkeepers, in collaboration, launched a cleanliness drive at George Everest House and surrounding areas, today.
Assistant Tourism Officer Hiralal said that the cleanliness drive was launched at George Everest Estate, where garbage was lying on the roadside and in the forests, which was collected. The garbage was handed over to the Municipal Council for disposal.
He said that such initiatives will create awareness among people across the state to keep their environment clean. Along with this, people would be made aware about environmental protection. He said that the Tourism Department is continuously working to provide a clean environment for tourists.
On this occasion, Ajay Dubey, manager of Rajas AeroSports, Keshav Chandra, along with employees of George Everest Estate and the Tourism Department were also present.
