DEHRADUN, 12 Jul: A special condolence meeting was organised by Dr S Farooq, Chair man, Tasmia All India Educational and Social Welfare Society, at 1-Inder Road, to pay tribute to former Uttarakhand Governor, the late Sudarshan Agarwal. Chief Guest and MLA GIG Mann said that there are very few persons who think for others and they were remembered for their acts of kindness. Sudarshan Agarwal was one such person. Dr S Farooq said that he had very close relations with the late Agarwal and what he did for Uttarakhand’s girls would always be remembered. The formation of an institution like Him Jyoti Girls School was a great service to Uttarakhand. Rotarian Hemant Arora, who is also a Member of the Executive Committee, also praised Agarwal’s qualities of head and heart. The Him Jyoti girls presented a song in his memory. Tasmia Academy children prayed for his soul to rest in peace. The programme was conducted by Monica Malhotra, Principal, Him Jyoti School, and the vote of thanks was proposed by RK Bakhshi.
