DEHRADUN, 6 Dec: Lt Gen SK Jha, Commandant, Indian Military Academy, and Naveen Jindal, President, Flag Foundation of India, unfurled today a monumental National Flag on a 108 feet high mast to the playing of ‘Saare-Jahan-Se-Achha’. The Tricolour, which is the most visible symbol of nationhood, reflects the ideals, belief and values of India. Conforming to this ethos, the National Flag was unfurled at the War Memorial Complex of the Indian Military Academy, here.

The Tricolour will always evoke the feeling of pride and sacrifice, and will always be a source of inspiration to the Gentleman Cadets. The flag instills amongst all a sense of nationalism and patriotism. The event culminated with the national anthem and the pledge to serve the motherland and to always keep the “Flag Flying High”.

The Flag is positioned near the War Memorial Complex adjacent to Chakrata Road so that even the commuters on the road can feel a sense of pride looking at it.
