Trust distributes blankets in Mussoorie

Mussoorie, 28 Jan: Blankets were distributed by the ‘Subhaga Dev Naithani Memorial Trust’ here, on Wednesday, with the support of Municipal Councilor Pankaj Khatri to the underprivileged.
The programme was organised at Camp office of the Mussoorie Municipality. Chairperson of the Trust, Vijayalakshmi Kala, Municipal President Anuj Gupta and the councilors distributed blankets to about 200 people. Vijayalakshmi Kala said that the cold was increasing in Mussoorie and the trust wanted to help the poor people combat it. She said that the trust works extensively to help the needy all over the country. It helped talented children pay their fees. She claimed members of the trust had made people aware of corona infection in the remote areas of the state and also distributed masks and sanitisers.
Councilor Geeta Kumai praised the work done by the institution and said the municipal administration is also arranging for bonfires at the main squares of Mussoorie to help the poor and working class stay protected from the cold. She also urged the well to do people of the town to come forward to help in providing blankets and rations to the needy.
Present on the occasion were council members Jasbir Kaur, Manisha Kharola, Suresh Thapliyal, Pratap Panwar, Darshan Rawat, Paramveer Kharola and many others.
